CRISPR CAS 9:
WHERE IS YOUR LINE? I
EXHIBITION 2021
︎INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION DESIGN︎SEP.2018 -
︎RELATED PROJECT II (2019)
CRISPR CAS 9 (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) is a DNA editing tool, which people call scientist’s potential secret weapon for treating heritage diseases like Sickle-Cell Anemia and Muscular Dystrophy. But the usage of CRISPR CAS 9 raise lots of ethical issues as it can be misused such as designing embryo before birth which may cause new social hierarchy and ecological disequilibrium.

HUMAN-AI SYMBIOSIS :
WE GROW TOGETHER
︎COGNITIVE AUGMENTED COOPERATOR︎ DEC. 2018 - JUN. 2019
How might AI support a Human centered design in the next revolution?” “And what will it amplify? It was about extending AI into the direction of emotional intelligence. Like Microsoft zo and Baby Q incident in China, we’ve seen that sometimes machines don’t learn quite fast enough for our human taste. But when we shut down technologies for not giving the right answer, we forget the very purpose of machine learning which is to learn through human interaction.

IKEA MANUAL
EXPERIMENTAL TYPEFACE
︎EXPERIMENTAL TYPEFACE DESIGN︎SEP.2018 - DEC. 2018
Typeface made with IKEA diagrams from the Ikea manual. My initial idea was to question DIY (Do-It-Yourself) culture typographically in pardoxical manner.
IKEA’s instruction manual is a perfect example of good design; printed without words, using only simple illustrations, these simple guidelines make the complex clear and make the impossible looking things possible ... As one of our goals as designers is to help other become more than they know they can be, these manual drawings let any users to be makers, builders, crafters and even designers. The manul itself embody the idealistic goals of the graphic designers.

JFK INT’L AIRPORT TER.1
SIGNAGE & WAYFINDING DESIGN
︎WAYFINDING & SIGNAGE DESIGN BOOKLETWITH DESIGN GUIDELINES AND CONSTRUCTION MANUAL
︎2018-2019
As technology has evolved, the means to communicate with air travelers has evolved from static to dynamic digital systems. The current design systems or wayfinding of JFK doesn’t align with the excitement and newness of NYC. It’s the opposite. So I created a signage and wayfinding system guide book for JFK Airport Terminal 1.
Today’s airports already use LED displays to relay basic flight and passenger information, but digital signage can now be so much more. These overall plans may not be carried out in practice but rather they are a practical fiction, exploring the possibilities that future signage can bring.
